How do I get wireless on campus?
UCLA’s wireless network is always expanding in order to cover the entire campus. Many locations you may frequent might already have wireless! Getting on the network is easy:
- Make sure your laptop computer has a wireless card that is 802.11b/g compliant
- Make sure the location you’re at has wireless by checking out the wireless coverage map provided by Bruin Online here
- Connect to the network SSID “UCLAWLAN”
- Depending on your location, all you’ll need to do is open a web browser and you should be prompted for a username and password. Use your Bruin Online username and password here.
- If you don’t get a page asking you to log in, you are probably in a location that requires the VPN client, which can be downloaded here
You should be good to go at this point, but if you are still having problems, you can contact Bruin Online at (310)267-HELP or at consult@ucla.edu
