IE 7 navcancl error

Some users are having issues with a ‘navcancl’ error when opening IE7 after applying the KB931768 update.

This comes from an Internet Explorer 7 navcancl.htm Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability that causes the error.

Here are some fixes that may work.

Solution:
a. Go to Start menu → Click Run → type “iexplore.exe -nohome -extoff” (without quotes) and press enter.
This will open MS Internet Explorer with a blank page and without any extensions.

If you cannot see the Menu Bar. Right click on the toolbar area and click Menu Bar.

c. Go to Tools → Options → Advanced → Security → Disable Phishing Filter
Hopefully this should fix IE7 for a while, at least until Microsoft will create a fix for it.
