Partial search terms don't work without wildcard

Searching for part of a word in the Knowledgebase doesn’t work unless you add an asterisk to the end of your search term.

For example, searching for the error code 604010 by using just

604

won’t find anything. But if you search using

604*

the articles containing 604010 show up.

In other words, you need to add the wildcard character “*” to the end of a partial search term, otherwise it will be treated as a complete word and only match words (or numbers) that exactly match it.

Another example (without numbers) would be that if you want to find articles with UCLA in them but were really lazy and only typed

UCL

none would show up. But if you typed

UCL*

you would get many articles.
