Picnik Online Photo Editing
Picnik is a free online photo-editing application:
How does Picnik compare to Picasa, Google’s photo-editing app?
Picasa is a Windows-only (with Linux in beta) desktop application used for both editing and organization. It is similar to the Mac-only iPhoto desktop application. (Two tools are available for Mac users (either a plug-in for iPhoto or a stand-alone utility) to upload files from a Mac to Picasa Web Albums. This utility is not the full-featured editing/organization Picasa application for the other platforms.)
Picnik is a cross-platform (Win/Mac/Linux) online editing tool, but does interface with Flikr for oganization.
The features, as you might expect from a free online tool are rudimentary. Tools include “Fix” (whatever that entails), rotate, crop, resize, red-eye, color balance and sharpen. In the absence of something more sophisticated, or the desire to integrate well with Flikr, or its simplicity, Picnik might be of value.
